Spring begins next month!

Our What’s New update is a little shorter than sometimes but it still has great new designs!  The one that speaks the most to us is from Homespun Elegance and says, “More Snow, Say It Isn’t So”!  It is almost March so spring should be arriving soon. www.houseofstitches.com/whatsnew.cfm

The Nashville Needlework Market will also be arriving soon.  I’m sorry to tell you that I won’t be attending in person, but I should be able to get most things for you.  I will just receive them in the mail or from UPS or FedEx.  The main exception will be the “market exclusives”.  And, to be truthful about the exclusives, the designers are often sold out before the market even opens!  (That’s all I’m going to say on that subject.)  So, if there are things that you would like, send us your list or phone us and we will do our best to fill your order!

Below is a photo of a recent finish.  I took 2 Sweetheart Tree charts and put them together to make one design.  Quaker Alphabet Square I and Quaker Alphabet Square II fit together nicely with only a slight modification where they meet.  I used 28 count Star Sapphire Jobelan and Cadet floss from Weeks Dye Works.  Here are links to the charts:

Snowstorm!!

 Hi, stitching friends!

We are experiencing a winter storm so the shop will be closed today, February 2. (Happy Ground Hog's Day!) Tomorrow is yet to be determined. Please stay safe and warm. I personally recommend power stitching in your favorite chair to combat the snow and cold! I cannot predict the weather for tomorrow so check back or phone the shop before you make the trip. If you need to reach us, the best way is through email (mail@houseofstitches.com).

Stay well and happy winter stitching,

Linda
